My old church’s senior pastor died of cancer just a couple of hours ago. He had spleen cancer a couple of years back (2009 or 2010) but got cancer-free by changing his diet and using alternative meds. He goes on an annual check-up just to make sure that his cancer-free.
About a month and a half ago he went through his annual check-up and he and his family found out that his cancer was back. There was a cysts in his spleen, his underarm and his neck.
Today he died and I think everyone in our church is probably in shock because he just got out of the hospital today and was supposed to just get a blood transfusion at another hospital when he suddenly had trouble breathing. He didn’t make it. We’re still not sure what happened. I’m waiting for his niece to update me but it’ll probably be days before we get a clear story.
Please pray for the comfort our senior pastor’s family. I can’t imagine how they must be feeling right now. Please pray for my old church right now. My old church is a very small tight knit church and a lot of people were very close to my pastor and their family.
