there’s an entire thinkpeice industry based on assuaging boomer guilt for robbing thier children’s collective future, blaming everything from avocado toast to bachelor parties, everything except for the greed of boomers and fiscal recklessness that put repeated economic ruin in place and NOW they’re concerned because a generation that’s living through an economic depression and several ecomonic crises isn’t spending anything and holding onto the few dollars they have from wages that haven’t kept up with the cost of living with an iron fist and ain’t paying for older people’s retirement, even as young people collectively in my opinion aren’t harsh ENOUGH on older people imo

The problem is that it’s not just The Boomers. I mean, I get being pissed off because I’ve endured just as many The Millennials Are Ruining Everything articles as, well, every other Millennial. But the elderly Wal-Mart greeters with no 401(k) didn’t make this happen any more than we did. Getting mad at Boomers in general lets Millennial billionaire assholes like Mark Zuckerberg off the hook. Your Soroses and Kochs and Clintons and Bushes are in a completely different class than your aunt on Facebook.
