I personally don’t have a single cent of debt, my dude.
But you can’t look at the american student loan scam and think it can just continue like that. The point of my post was that unless you create a way out for them, having an entire generation that’s shackled to insane debt for life and that will never be able to own anything but the bare necessities is a social powder keg.
Forgive student debt? Should we pay your rent and your electric bill too? Maybe we can buy you a car while we’re at it. There is no such thing as forgiving debt. Someone will have to foot the bill…taxpayers. I’m not ready to pay off your bill just because you dug yourself a hole and weren’t thoughtful about the impact your recklessness would have on your future. I know college is overpriced, but you chose to attend, and your debt is yours and yours alone.
