Hey guys. I’m just gonna be blunt here: I need help. I need a lot of help (more than I really want to admit), and I don’t know where to start.

On Sunday, August 12, I was driving home from Reno (where my Mom lives) to my home in California (where my Dad and I live) when my car’s engine seized as I was on the highway, causing smoke to start pouring out from under the hood as I was driving. I (luckily) made it to an exit as soon as I noticed the sounds/smoke coming from my car, but as soon as I coasted to the end of the lane, my car died. 

Later that same day, my Dad came to pick me up from my mom’s (it’s a 2 hour drive) and on the way back home, his car had very, eerily similar problems as mine, and his car lost all power and we were forced to exit, and his car stopped and the engine wouldn’t turn over. 

I was called today by the shop I had my car towed to, and a piston broke, and flew off at such a high power that it blew a hole in the side of my engine, so my car is totalled. 

My dad’s car needs a new engine because his blew up in a very, very similar fashion to mine. He just had work done on his car a week ago, so he doesn’t know how or even if he’s going to be able to repair his car. We both have over 200,000 miles on our cars and I just drained my savings in May to pay for half of my car, so I don’t even know what to do.

My dad, who’s a single father and has done his best to raise me by himself for my life, doesn’t have a car. I don’t have a car, anymore either. He’s been taking the train to and from work for the past 2 days until he figures out his options and what makes the most sense for us. 

I don’t have a job, though I am currently looking for one. Seeing as I have no job, I currently have no way to pay for any repairs or a replacement used car, or to pay my monthly bills (I don’t pay rent seeing as I live with my dad, but I owe $175 per month for my phone and car insurance). I have about ten dollars in on of my accounts, and in my other account I’m currently over-drafted by $40, so I really need help. (I don’t have any credit cards, only 2 debit ones.)

If any of you reading this would like to help me I can’t emphasize how incredibly appreciated and helpful it would be. Even if it’s a “small” amount, everything would be appreciated and I would be immensely grateful towards. If all of my followers even donated just 50 cents, I cannot begin to tell you how much it would help. Any amount of money, no matter how small or large, would be enough to help get me and my dad on our feet again.

I’m not making this post to make anyone pity me, but just to say that I don’t know what else to do. I’m lost, I have no way of paying for anything currently while I’m out a job, and I need a lot help. I really do. I can’t do this by myself.
