There is no such thing as a non-GMO food any more.  Really.

If foods hadn’t been genetically modified, agriculture simply couldn’t support as many people as it does.

Ever hear of white elephant? Gifts that are predatory. Monsanto is an evil globalist mega company, rejecting their “help” was not only smart but the decision is based on their past of doing way more harm with past “aid.” Saying they rejected it because it was genetically modified is disingenuous. It makes it sound like they’re saying this food isn’t good enough. when what they likely were saying is, this company owns patents on this food and it’s designed to eliminate other sources of food they don’t own. Once their only source of food is Monsanto TM. Monsanto swoops in to collect. Monsanto aid has decimated local food supplies in an effort to monopolize food production globally. There’s a reason they were offered trademarked Monsanto seeds and not just regular food aid, because the point isn’t to help. Fuck Monsanto.

Monsanto will sue the shit out of people who collect their modified seeds to replant them next season (which is a common farming practice) you have to buy new seeds from them. If some Monsanto seeds blow onto your farm which doesn’t use Monsanto seeds and you collect seeds from the plant that grows they’ll also sue the shit out of you.
