So a big name medical school in Tokyo got caught manipulating entrance exams scores and purposely lowering all women’s scores by 20% while adding points to men’s applications because “women have kids and then work less waah” and this bullshit went on for 12 years and is suspected to be happening in many other medical schools and then they wonder why their birth rate is piss low wow i wonder why its almost like if you treat women and mothers like second class citizens the birth rate will drop like crazy hmMMmmMM it’s almost like women are having less kids because they can’t afford to because you’re denying them job opportunities idk just a suggestions also if you need to knock down women’s exam scores maybe your men aren’t as bright and smart as you think

“women have babies and then never work again so we cant hire them” weird how that conflicts with multiple testimonies from women who were forced to “resign” from their job upon getting pregnant instead of having the chance to come back to work after maternity leave yeah why is the birth rate soooo low hmm

the state: doesn’t invest in its population’s health in the form of affordable pregnancy and childbirth-related costs, don’t allow for needed population growth through family-growing incentives, doesn’t legislate against discrimination towards mothers
society: doesn’t value motherhood, see children as a burden they cannot handle
