I wish people would stop mocking girls (and guys) for posting about how they want to have a family when they grow up. People making awful remarks about those that post about wanting people to love and care for, it’s just awful. 

People come from broken homes, people have been told time and time again they’ll never be good enough for a relationship, some people have fertility problems, people have dreams. And it’s awful to shame people for that regardless of the reason. 

Let people have dreams about raising a family, let people have dreams about hiding out in the forest away from bustling city life with a partner that loves them. Let people fantasise about the sound of a small child running barefoot across the floor to greet them or waking up to their partner fast asleep next to them.

I know this says “when I grow up” but I hope young adults can reblog it too?
