Works are not the “byproduct of faith”, it is an essential part of faith and love to even exist. Your salvation is more than feelings and people need to stop acting like works are just a mere “byproduct” of faith in Jesus – it is ESSENTIAL. 

Even in the Gospel, Jesus describes the greatest form of love as self-sacrificial, and you don’t get on that kind of Christian faith by just “having it”, you freaking work for it every second of your life; it’s an unending journey from birth until death that you constantly have to work through. You don’t sacrifice yourself out of love as a “““byproduct””“, you actively choose it and live it: aka, WORK.

Faith is the inspiration for love, work is the discipline to practice it as Jesus commanded, and salvation is the result of such love for Him. There you go.
