Can’t propagate Christianity if you let bad genes regress your people below the point of respecting or even comprehending a higher power.

What’s “unethical” is allowing people with bad genetics that give them a disposition towards poverty, crime, addiction, genetic diseases, and so on to propagate their bad genes and increase the prevalence of those things in society through their children.

I really think you’re over-estimating the effect bad genes can have on a people; if they increase the proclivity towards crime and addiction, the selection pressure of incarceration, murder, overdosing, etc. should curb their spread.
