I hate how anti-Catholicism is being pushed throughout the media, academia, and the public under the noble guise of responding to the Church abuse scandal. Yes, criticizing and implicating the guilty among the Church is welcome and appreciated by us Catholics, but the second you start publishing articles calling the Church in whole a “pedophile ring” or start to justify assaults on innocent priests and laity because of the scandal, you’re showing you don’t care about the victims and are just taking advantage of the circumstances to voice your know-nothing hatred of our faith.
