I never check Facebook anymore. I post once in a blue moon and never scroll through my feed. But, for some reason, I checked it tonight. And I’m glad I did. I’ve mentioned before my dear friend who has been struggling with more burdens than I can name. She has been frequently suicidal and this week she made another attempt to take her own life.

Please, please, pray for my friend. I don’t have the words or the space to say what she has been through or what she means to me. She was my confidant when I needed one the most, and though we’ve grown into very different people, I love her and care about her deeply.

She needs Christ’s love. She needs his hope and peace and comfort and there is a chasm separating her from that. He seems so far away from her. Please pray he will reach her, and give her identity and peace and life, and never, ever let her go.

Please also pray God will send her a counselor, a friend who can be there for her physically like I can’t, like so many of her friends can’t. Someone who will be his light and love and hands and feet. She needs that, she needs him desperately.
