so what if they’re posers? what are they robbing me of? $5? That I voluntarily give to them?

It’s none of my business what they spend it on. I trust they’ll spend it on something they need that will help them; they’re not children.

Some conservativesvsay they should stop panhandling outside and go to soup kitchens and shelters.

Ok so they do that, then y’all still got shit to say about them.

I straight up heard a few conservative girls talking about how homeless people are sad because they choose this life. they refuse to change their life because they know where they can get food, shelter, clothing, and welfare and are too lazy to get actual work.

Ok honey how about you stand around in the fucking cold and don’t even have people look you in the fucking eye. Imagine the city wanting to get rid of you. You think they choose that shit? You think it’s fun waiting in line at Fish and Loaves? You think shelters are like the Sheraton Grand or something? What the fuck is your problem.

And so what if they choose it? What does that say about our society? That a person would rather be homeless then live and work in it (which is not true lmao but even theoretically).

And all that straight up prejudice and distrust? That’s withholding you from dropping $5 into the hands of a normal person who’s been down on their luck. What the fuck will it cost you? What’s it going to cost anyone?

Even if you have no cash on hand, can you smile to them? Maybe ask them about themselves? Pray for them? Idk

Homeless People deserve love. Especially from Christians who should be seeing Jesus in everyone.
