This is not an exorcism. They did not think he was posessed.

1. Nuns can’t perform exorcisms.

2. You do not perform an exorcism in an open space like this in front of people. That is actually something that can get a clergy person in serious trouble for doing.

3. An exorcism is not simply laying your hands on someone and praying. There are many steps to a Catholic exorcism. You know what is laying your hands on someone and praying? A form of blessing. That’s right. They are BLESSING him. Yes he may not have wanted it and could have felt insulted by it which is totally understandable, but they are not calling him possesed or a demon or something. They are wishing good upon him.
