Strange.  I saw this in my feed but I checked out your blog outside the newsfeed and noticed not only is this post missing but several others too.  I checked mine and all my new reblogged posts are missing as well.  Only my original posts are showing.

I bet this reblog will not show up on my blog outside the newsfeed either.

Over the centuries, the depiction of the veil has acquired its own legend, in which the original commissioner of the sculpture, the famous scientist and alchemist Raimondo di Sangro taught the sculptor how to transform cloth into crystiline marble.

For about three centuries, many visitors to the Cappella, were so amazed by the veiled sculpture, that they wrongly believed it to be the result of a “marblification” performed by the prince, who was meant to have laid a real veil on the sculpture and transformed it into marble over time by means of a chemical process.

If any one purifies himself from what is ignoble, then he will be a
vessel for noble use, consecrated and useful to the master of the house,
ready for any good work. So shun youthful passions and aim at
righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call upon
the Lord from a pure heart.

And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kindly to every
one, an apt teacher, forbearing, correcting his opponents with
gentleness. God may perhaps grant that they will repent and come to know
the truth, and they may escape from the snare of the devil, after being
captured by Him to do his will.
