Some of the arguments against the second amendment are extremely unsettling. I’m talking about the people who get all cocky and say “you think you can stand against a tyrannical government with a couple of pea shooters? Lol you’re going to get blown to pieces.”
Like. The underlying message here is “Why fight for your freedom if it might mean death?” This is people arguing to strip me of my right of self defense. Fighting to disarm me, and my loved ones, and people I want to be safe.
If you argue that “liberty or death” is an outdated, foolish ideology… You’re not morally forward. You’re just a coward.

There is a difference between just criticisms and outright fabrications. This “story” is the latter.
These notes are fun to read through, lemme tell you
Wasn’t this nonsense debunked ages ago?
According to the above it was resolved 3 years ago but a lot of people are looking for reasons to take pot shots at Catholics after certain tragedies emerged. At least, that’s what the comments in the post from people who believe this is suggesting.
Thanks for pointing out that gun control is inherently racist.
I see shit like this all the time, and it leads me to believe that a huge percentage of gun control folks aren’t so much against guns; they’re against a stereotype of gun owners.
They stereotype Second Amendment supporters as a bunch of rural folks in “flyover states” with pick-up trucks and shotguns and American flags, playing hard rock and country music, who believe very strongly in God and America and Supporting Our Troops. And since they all know that everyone like that must be a stupid racist redneck, in their minds, gun ownership is “racist culture.”
It’s why they blue screen when Second Amendment supporters say that they want black people and gays and trans people and other minorities to arm themselves; that the right and ability of vulnerable people to protect themselves against oppression is the point of the Second Amendment.
As far as I’m concerned, everyone who is physically and mentally able to own a gun responsibly SHOULD. Period. No “except them blacks” or whatever.
