ASSUMPTION OF MARY
Today, August 15, Catholics of the Latin rite celebrate the Assumption of Mary. The Eastern Orthodox Church celebrates the Dormition of the Theotokos (Mother of God) on August 14. Like most of the Marian feasts, they were first established in the East and then adopted by the West at a later date. The feast of the Dormition dates back to the 4th century. The earliest celebration of the feast in the West is dated in the mid 7th century.

Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Our Lady comes all in white with sparkling lights all around Her. She says: “Praise be to Jesus.”
I (Maureen) wish Her a Happy Feast Day. She smiles and nods.
She says: “These days, My happiness rests in the conversion of every heart. I cannot relate to you the effects of so much evil in the world today. The course of human history is now changed as a result of man’s disregard for God’s Commandments. My Heart sorrows as I view the sinful choices of mankind.”
“What takes place in the world – new diseases, weapons of mass destruction in the hands of evil, massive fires and other natural disasters beyond the scope of human comprehension – none of these register as God’s dissatisfaction with mankind.”
“I am calling you to love God and one another while you still have the time to choose. I cannot choose for you. I am praying that My Words to you today fall upon open hearts.”
It’s a Holy Day of Obligation!
It’s the Feast Day of the Assumption! Don’t forget to go to Mass to celebrate Our Lady!

On this Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, invite Our Lady to speak these words to your heart:
My Beautiful Daughter (and Son), I hope that my words today bring encouragement to your weary heart. I hear your thoughts, know your feelings, and see your desires. I remember what it feels like to be faced with confusion, uncertainty, and pain. There are even times when I see the dragon attempting to devour the glorious life of my Son within you.
But I need you to know that you are safe. I am here in Heaven with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and all the Angels and Saints. We are preparing a home for you.
You may feel like you are in a lonely desert right now, but I want to strengthen your heart today with my humility, obedience, purity, patience, and love. Yes, the King desires your beauty and I will show you how to let Him be the Lord of your heart.
Live your Baptism, be strengthened by your Confirmation, receive His mercy through the words of my priest in Confession, and receive Him often in the Eucharist. We have a place prepared for you and all you need to do today is stay with Jesus. He is your way, truth, and life!
Simply remain with Him and He will be your joy and peace. Then your soul will truly proclaim the greatness of the Lord!
