Someone: *says the word “Catholic” in a conversation*

Me, foreseeing heresy:

Me, also sensing heresy:

@scholarlypidgeot about to lay down some theological truth

“So.  You dissed the Blessed Mother.”

I AM SCREAMING

STOP GIVING ME CURSED IDEAS LAVINIA

YOU’RE ENCOURAGING ME TO EXPLORE MS PAINT GEEZ

So, If i’m understood you think praying to Saints is unbiblical and pointless, well according to the CCC…

“As I was saying, Humane Vitae clearly states that Contraception is immoral…

Found a better Huntress being Catholic one:

Dont have a caption, but it’s there.

Oh heck yeah found the best one:

Sensing the faith being attacked:

Love it!

I’m no fan of religion, but this is some converting shit right here

Come to the Catholic side, we have memes and salvation (also top tier memes guys)

I mean…most of my family is Catholic.

But reentry is like…intense. Not something I’d do lightly. But I’ll definitely give them first choice

It can be daunting. Even just going to mass with someone you trust can be a great way to consider if you want to return to the church

Do u ever wish people would stop talking in metaphors whenever they talk about religion? Bc like- I’m rather dumb and I interpret things Very Wrong sometimes. Like “carry your cross” and “lean on Jesus” are beautiful phrases and important but WHAT DOES IT PRACTICALLY MEAN FAM???? NEED MÁS HOMILY ON THIS

not to mock you (I have friends who will likely understand where you are coming from), but now I want to make a meme where we reduce common Christian phrases and terminology with technical speak.

Wait, I thought “offer it up” was referring to “cast your cares on him” or “bring it to God” ie to pray about something and trust God rather than freak out

Nope! Of course offering up a prayer means something different, but the response to suffering coined “offer it up” is referring to offering up our suffering as a sacrifice to God, either for His Glory or for a specific intention. When Christ died He redeemed suffering and now our suffering, when offered to God, actually has power. For instance, when we fast and pray, our prayer is more powerful than without fasting. So too is prayer during suffering offered to God. I have chronic pain, and frequently offer it up for whatever is on my heart – “Lord, I offer up this pain for the conversion of my family and for the souls in purgatory.”

St. Dominic Savio

St. Dominic’s 4 rules as recorded in his journal:

1) I will go to Confession often, and as frequently to Holy Communion as my confessor allows.

2) I wish to sanctify the Sundays and festivals in a special manner.

3) My friends shall be Jesus and Mary.

4) Death rather than sin
