Seriously though. If you did a forty year background check on me, you’d find lots of immaturity and stupidity, but you wouldn’t find any sexual assaults or attempted rapes because I’m a decent fucking human being.

People in Congress need to have good, honest intentions for everyone in America.
Being a rapist, pedophile, racist or anything along those lines directly contradicts this.
Background checks would remove unqualified people from Congress.
As much as the Kavanaugh thing was a complete and total disgrace, people need to stop complaining about the Senate overrepresenting smaller states when that’s the whole freaking point of the Senate. If y’all want to reform Congress, a better idea is to increase the size of the House, which they haven’t updated since 1910 and uhh we’ve grown a lot since then
This is one of those things that damn near everyone agrees on, from the most radical progressive to the most stalwart conservative…but no one can seem to do anything about, because those fuckers in there wanna stay there and aren’t going to vote for term limits for themselves.
