America: Now at the point were its government is honestly debating if tear-gassing babies and toddlers is morally acceptable or not.

I do not know how this conversation ends.

But looking at the history books: One suspects. Not well.

“Tear-gassing babies”

You say this as if they were directly targeting the kids and not the bum rush of hundreds trying to cross the border illegally after acting stupid:

Link

From the article:

“U.S. Border Patrol agents used tear gas to disperse hundreds of Central American Migrants in the Mexican city of Tijuana who made a rush for the border fence. as tension builds over the diminishing prospects for asylum seekers trying to enter the country.

Mexico’s Milenio television station showed dozens of people climbing the fence on the Mexican side of the border before they were turned back. Women and children were among those affected by the use of tear gas, migrants said.<——NO FUCKING SHIT

The border patrol said it deployed the gas after several of its agents were hit by the projectiles.”

Here is my favorite part of this article:

“I felt that my face was burning, and my baby fainted. I ran for my life and that of my children,” Said Cindy Milla, a 23-year-old migrant who traveled from Honduras with her 10-month-old baby and four-year-old-son. “I learned my lesson and I’m now going to wait for asylum”

Like, are you kidding me? These idiots tried to cross the border illegally with their kids, putting them in danger and none of you motherfuckers are putting any blame on the parents?

You can blame the bad bad orange man, border patrol and every single other person  you don’t like but the truth is it wasn’t them. It was the caravan themselves who asked for this and they got it.

Oh, and they are all now getting deported by Mexico for what they did by the way, so go ahead and cry and lie about that too while you are at it.

And no, I’m not defending kids getting gassed, before you go there. It fucking sucks but the ol’ saying “Play stupid games, win stupid prices” applies here like no other.

It’s on the parents who put them in danger.

A parent drags their kid into a dangerous situation and the kid gets hurt, it’s the parents fault, almost regardless of their reasoning for doing it.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they did what Pallywood does and push women and children to where they know the cameras will be.

If you would report an undocumented immigrant to ICE you would have reported me to the Nazis and I don’t fucking trust you

A note:

I live in a state where you “have to” report anyone you suspect of being undocumented (that wonderful hellhole of Arizona). Now in practice this law has fallen far short, thank goodness. But if you live in such a place and they start enforcing it, here is how you get around it:

Assume everyone who doesn’t speak English is visiting.

Never ask about their job, because if they tell you they work here then you know they’re not visiting. You see them a lot for several weeks or months? Hm. Someone in the family must be ill. That’s terribly tough. They always dress in old, ratty laborers’ clothes? I feel you, my dude, I can’t afford new clothes either, and my dad has the fashion sense of an aardvark, so sometimes it’s not even about “affording” them. They say they’ve been here for years? You must have misunderstood. Spanish isn’t your first language, after all. First and last name? It never came up, or you don’t recall–you meet a lot of people.

And then, if you’re asked: no, you haven’t seen anyone residing illegally in the United States. Just people visiting.

Very good very important addition

Essentially, this is the civil society version of a work-to-rule strike.

Don’t do more than is expressly asked of you, and do what you are asked with such an intense attention to protocol that not asking you at all becomes more effective than even bothering.

In this case:

“Have you seen an illegal immigrant?”

“Could you describe an illegal immigrant, officer?”

*officer describes a person who is in the country without appropriate paperwork, or who has crossed the border illegally*

“No, sir, I haven’t seen any illegal immigrant.”

And this is correct. You have NOT seen an illegal immigrant, because you have no way of knowing if Jose Fulano is here legally or not. And since you can’t see his paperwork (or lack thereof), and did not personally see him cross the border illegally, you are only answering precisely the question asked.

I’m not American, and I have like, three followers, but this is important.

ah yes. Illegal immigration where they will be deported safely back to their home countries after breaking the law is SO comparable to the hunting down and murdering of millions of Jews who simply existed.

I’m not saying that we need to obsessively root out illegal immigrants but let’s stop comparing two things that are extremely different in nature and context.

Friendly reminder that illegal immigration is intimately connected to human trafficking and worker exploitation. Reporting Jewish citizens is in no way similar to people entering a nation without due process and y’all need to stop abusing history like this.
