I, Peter, by the gift of Aslan, by election and by conquest, High King of Narnia, Lord of Cair Paravel and Emperor of the Lone Islands, in order to prevent the abhominable effusion of blood do hereby challenge the usurper Miraz to single combat on the field of battle.

The fight shall be to the death

The reward shall be total surrender.

Wrong will be right, when Aslan comes in sight,
At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more,
When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death,
And when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again.

People really be out here taking the Christian themes out of Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia

I once saw someone say something like “keep your religion away from my hobbit movies” to someone else in a comment section and all I could think was “keep your scary things out of my horror movies” like my dude this is Tolkien we’re talking about if you want a story without religious influence you are looking in the wrong place

queeensusan:

tbh, people need to realise the narnia series is a story about Christianity/God/Jesus/faith when cs lewis wrote it hence the themes – when the children die in the train accident, they’re in fact going home to Heaven – there’s nothing unfair about it. Susan’s ‘ending’ in the story was left open – she couldve very well found her way back to love and Jesus, or not. There is nothing cruel about lewis’ writing.
