you know what’s really interesting about Seb Stan and buckynat? not only that he’s been talking about it a lot (like A LOT) lately, but that he mentions specific things that he never did before and doesn’t necessarily have to be part of their relationship if buckynat were to be canon in the mcu

he’s talked about wanting to see Bucky specifically during the cold war, about him meeting Nat in that time period and the other day, as a way of explaining why he likes it, he said he’s “a huge fan of time periods”

like, this doesn’t feel casual AT ALL, it’s the kind of thing he can get away with because “it’s in the comics” so it doesn’t sound spoiler-ish but it seems to me like he’s certain that to tell their story they would need to do a period piece…

how fortunate then that the black widow movie will be, according to the rumors, exactly that

it’s not just that Seb is talking more about it because he’s more confident it will happen, but that he now knows more about HOW it will happen, he has more information to discuss and draw from…

of course this is all speculation, but we’re talking about someone who 2 years before black panther premiered started talking about how much he likes wolfs, he made little, innocuous comments (like mentioning jon snow) that in hindsight I can’t believe were a coincidence… it must be fun to say that kind of thing in a hypothetical way knowing the fans have no idea what’s coming

If I had to pick one? Selfishly I probably would love the BuckyNat situation only because I’m a huge fan of time periods and stuff and the idea of going back in time… and in some of the way that story came to be is very interesting to me… And also because I feel like in the “Captain America – The Winter Soldier” movie we didn’t explore enough, like, some of him in that particular way that I think that would be done for her… So, I always go with that.
