I just know things. One of the things I know is that Next Generation got better after it’s 2nd Season when it actually found its niche, and people took note of this happening in tandem with Riker growing out his goatee, so they now call a show getting much better after a period of “meh” Growing the Beard. (An antithesis to Jumping the Shark)
