Frank Oz, creator of Bert the Muppet for Sesame Street reacting to some hack writer who thinks he knows Bert & Ernie better than Mr Oz does. Mr Ozsets him straight. Pun most definitely intended. Deal with it.
Mr Oz hits the nail on the head
here. Why the need to define? Especially as only gay? Why must sexuality define
us, as is being pushed on us these days? Why must everything be sexualized? Why
must that agenda be driven into our heads & minds & beloved TV
characters?
The focus of Sesame Street is
not sex or sexuality. The focus is learning, at least it was when I was little.
What does sexualizing Muppets like this really hope to achieve? They’re puppets on a children’s show. IMO,
it takes a certain sick sort of person to want to expose very small kids to
sex. It takes a certain sick sort of person to make something innocent into something
perverse.
Can’t we just leave some things
alone? Must we sexualize everything?
Can’t we just allow innocent
children to be innocent children as
long as they can?
This seems like a good idea, right? Pay off debt promptly and earn a good credit score.
WRONG
Creditors need you to pay interest, that’s how their business works. Paying off your balance before it can accrue interest makes them no profit and actually negatively affects your credit score. Just to fuck you over.
To earn a good score, you want to regularly accrue small amounts of interest. Pay off most of your balance each month, but not all. The unpaid balance accrues a small amount of interest.
The reason it’s important to have a good credit score is that your credit score can affect almost anything in your life. Buying a used car at a dealer? Credit check. Renting or leasing an apartment? Credit check. Trying to take out a loan for anything ever be it a home, a business, or education? Credit check. Trying to get certain jobs? Credit check. Making a large purchase (appliances come to mind)? Credit check.
Even in situations that don’t seem financial credit scores are used as a seemingly objective measure of one’s integrity and ability to handle responsibility.
Just shoot me
This is NOT TRUE. You DO NOT need to pay any interest to have a good credit score. As long as you put some money on a credit card and make your payments on time, you can have a great score even if you pay it off in full every month. Credit card companies don’t like it, but they can’t penalize you for it.
Yeah, credit card companies hate it when you don’t pay interest. But that does NOT negatively affect your credit score because your credit card company DOES NOT CALCULATE YOUR CREDIT SCORE. It’s calculated by completely different organizations. All you do by paying interest on your credit card is LOSE MONEY. It doesn’t help you in any fucking way.
THE BEST WAY TO IMPROVE YOUR CREDIT SCORE IS TO PAY YOUR BILLS IN FULL AND ON TIME EVERY TIME.

I don’t understand how you can see Killmonger disrespect culture, attack women, basically was trained by military to tear down civilizations, his own father says he is disappointed in what he’s done, move to arm black people outside of Wakanda with high tech weapons (yes cuz giving Leroy and em cannon blasters is gonna help the cause) and y’all still fix ya lips to say he was right lol when Nakia exists. Wild.
I was waiting for someone to say this.
There’s a reason he was the villain. He killed his girlfriend in cold blood. His anger was understandable, true, but his methods abhorrent and destructive. The end result would have been huge amounts of death and chaos. No positive outcome.
[Killmonger was an amazingly written villain and a great, if not perfect, example of how to execute a “tragic backstory villain arc”. Due to his characters anger and Michael’s incredible acting it made Killmonger a character a large amount of people could empathize with. An amazing villain. Truly.]
Nakia LITERALLY was team “let’s stop having Wakanda be an isolationist nation and help the worlds oppressed” from the jump and she doesn’t get enough credit.
not to be a downer but your twenties are super hard and super lonely and tv lied and it’s not glamorous at all and if you are having a hard time it’s ok and it’s normal and you’ll be ok
I hate to be the one to break this to you, dude, but as a general rule, women don’t pretend to virulently hate men they’re secretly in love with as some sort of elaborate courtship ritual. That’s a trope we made up to justify why the male protagonist always gets the girl in the end even when it’s starkly at odds with prior characterisation. In real life, if she acts like she thinks you’re a creep, it’s because she thinks you’re a creep!
