Maybe this is in the movie and I don’t remember it, but how does Thanos know who Stark is?

@jurakan The Russos confirmed in the DVD commentary that Thanos knows who he is because Tony is the one who flew through the wormhole and destroyed his Chitauri army from the first Avengers movie.
