Fucking GREECE? That’s your example of successful socialism? The place is an economical clusterfuck right now.

Yesssssss, but the the rest of the countries on the list aren’t. Europe (including Scotland / the UK, where I live) have their own problems, Australia I believe has very little national debt. One bad example doth not a case make.

If you seriously think Greece is the only bad example of socialism/universal healthcare you clearly haven’t been on this blog for very long. This original post was a joke, not an in-depth commentary on the failures of socialism. But if that’s what you’d like, I’d be happy to point you in the direction of some.

Basically every country on that list piggybacks off the US miltary for national defense, taking those funds originally allocated to defense and re-allocating to centralized healthcare which leads itself to soon become a haven for state sanctioned child neglect.

Socialized medicine: where you can have the state tell you you have to let your child die because you’re not allowed to seek alternative treatment options.

Here.

The Untied States subsidizes healthcare in other nations in more ways than acting as their defense force. When companies can’t make as much in profits as they would like selling to a socialized system that bullies them into settling for as little as possible, they tend to recoup their loses in the US’s private market.

By paying more as individuals, we make it possible for those other nations to make their healthcare state-owned without the consequence of a substantial plummet in productivity. That’s one of the reasons our healthcare is so ridiculously expensive, we’re paying for everyone else in the civilized world to get it cheap.

If the United States were ever to switch to a socialized system, massive amounts of medical funding and research in the world would just vanish. Cures and treatments that might’ve been provided in the future will never exist.

Possibly the most terrifying part is that most people won’t even notice.
