I feel a strong need to hug Picard in that last gif

I love the implication that Picard totally expected them to have that shared experience, and that if there had been other human men in the room he would have expected them to relate. This implies that despite Picard’s love for older pastimes, building ships in bottles is still common enough in the 24th century that he expects most humans to be familiar with the hobby.

[I love Deep Space Nine more but I wish they had used Chief O’Brien and Worf to do more call backs to the Next Generation. Just feels like a lot of missed opportunity not using all that built up past series continuity.]
