It’s a struggle to try to get some of my younger students to practice sometimes and I have to get creative. I asked one of my little guys what kind of piano he has at home and he said it was a keyboard. I said, “me too! Sometimes I practice my song and then when it’s perfect, I change the sound setting and play it in burps, you should try it” and he lost his mind.

He came to his lesson today and told me he had been practicing Twinkle Twinkle with machine guns all week. Maybe I should feel sorrier for his parents but I don’t even a little bit.
