Santa Claus is a pagan idol. It’s a satanic trick for people to forget Jesus, Mary and Joseph at Christmas.
Santa’s not a pagan idol, but he is use to usurp the religious holiday at the heart of Christmas – the Nativity. Christians can be excited about the approach of Advent, but I’m reblogging because we really should keep everything to its own time. Halloween to Hallow Month, Thanksgiving to November, and wait for Advent before we start preparing for Christ’s coming.
the santa we know wasn’t a thing until 1881 and is based off immigrant tales of Saint Nicholas
searching-for-repentence was purged. He is friends with me on facebook and he says that if you would like to keep in touch there, to tell me so I can let him know. I’ll be giving him the link to this post to keep track.
She kicks when we sing at Mass, she wiggles all during the homily, she rustles around for more space as we do the dumb half-kneel at the Consecration of the Holy Eucharist. She goes totally still as we receive Holy Communion.
Behold the Lamb of God, little one.
That is SO AMAZINGLY CUTE! You know, your little gal is already getting to know you by your voice and scent, and singing is a great way to bond closer to her. No wonder she moves around so much during the musical portions of Mass.
I read about her getting quiet when you receive Communion and I think, not only is she learning about God through your participation, but right now *she* is participating right along with you!
Just think – in a few months she’ll actually be able to witness the Mass on her own! And in a few years, she’ll be receiving Communion for the first time on her own.
